Via replication, alternate data access sources exist to retrieve the same piece of data resulting in an overall speed up in data retrieval. Data streaming is a technique for transferring data in a steady and continuous stream. Particularly useful for large multimedia files, data streaming speeds the display of data allowing users to view the data even before the entire file has been received.     Asynchronous processing transmits data intermittently rather than in a steady data stream. This gives the client the opportunity to access portions of data in fixed intervals or perform other processes even before the server finishes transmitting all the data.     The addition of a pre-spawn server and pre-open server reduces the server response time to a client.
