Markham, Ontario, Canada (December 1, 1995) — Empress Software, Inc., announced today the availability of EMPRESS HYPERMEDIA™, an HTML toolkit and HTTP server designed to give world wide web page designers unparalleled power in creating dynamic web pages through which they can easily manage large amounts of data with no impact to the web page.

EMPRESS HYPERMEDIA™ is the only product of its kind that offers the web page author the ability to use both the HTML language already used in creating web pages and allow the user the flexibility of interfacing to the Empress multimedia RDBMS with either SQL calls or through the use of the Empress server product. Through the Common Gateway Interface (CGI), EMPRESS HYPERMEDIA™ integrates database and administration utilities, creates dynamic web pages, and works with all known web browsers.
